Hyderabad: Actor and politician Pawan Kalyan has been under the weather for the past week, suffering from fever and severe coughing. He arrived in Hyderabad on September 26 to undergo medical treatment following doctors’ advice.

Pawan Kalyan reportedly fell ill on September 21 after attending the rain-soaked pre-release event of his latest film, They Call Him OG, at LB Stadium in Hyderabad. The event, disrupted by heavy rainfall, drew thousands of fans who left disappointed. Despite his illness, he attended the Andhra Pradesh Assembly session the following day, which reportedly worsened his condition.

Since then, Pawan Kalyan has been managing his official and political commitments via video conferencing, following doctors’ recommendations for rest. On September 25, he missed an event where he was scheduled to join Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in handing over appointment letters to government teachers selected through the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC).

Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and CM Jagan Mohan Reddy extended their wishes for his speedy recovery on social media. “May he return in good health to continue serving the people of Andhra Pradesh, and to enjoy the well-earned success of OG, which is receiving widespread appreciation,” CM Reddy wrote.

Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG, a gangster drama produced by DVV Entertainment, was released on September 25, generating immense excitement among fans in both Telugu states.
