Pawan Kalyan Dismisses Boycott Calls on Hari Hara Veera Mallu

As Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu gears up for its grand theatrical release tomorrow, political undercurrents are making their presence felt. Supporters of rival political parties, particularly some affiliated with the YSRCP, have begun circulating negative commentary online and even called for a boycott of the film in certain circles.

Unfazed by these developments, Pawan Kalyan addressed the issue head-on during a recent media interaction. When questioned about the growing online negativity and boycott appeals allegedly driven by political motives, the actor-politician responded with characteristic composure and wit.

“Why would anyone boycott the film?” Pawan questioned, dismissing the controversy. “They’re just doing it for the sake of it—there’s no genuine reason behind it. In the past, people went as far as buying tickets in black just to watch a film. No one can really stop a movie from reaching the audience.”

He further remarked, “It would actually be surprising if they didn’t try such tactics,” alluding to a pattern of political vendetta often seeping into the entertainment space.

Despite the noise online, there appears to be little real-world traction for the boycott campaign. Public interest in Hari Hara Veera Mallu remains strong, and early trends suggest that the film’s release will proceed unaffected. Pawan Kalyan, for his part, seems unbothered, choosing instead to focus on the film’s launch and his continuing political engagements.
