Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu is all set for a grand release on July 24th, and promotions are in full swing. Pawan himself has been actively participating in the campaign, engaging with fans and the media alike. As part of these promotions, he recently interacted with journalists at his camp office in Mangalagiri, where he reflected on his journey — both in cinema and politics.
During the interaction, Pawan candidly spoke about the lessons learned from his failures. When asked about his biggest takeaways from setbacks, he admitted that those experiences shaped him into a stronger, more grounded person.
He particularly recalled the difficult phase after his film Jhonny turned out to be a disaster at the box office. “Jhonny was a major failure in my career. I returned my remuneration and even had to borrow money to cover the losses. At that point, I had nothing left,” Pawan revealed. He added that when he faced defeat in the 2019 elections, those memories of hardship gave him the strength to start over. “After losing everything once, I knew I could rebuild. That mindset helped me handle my political defeat as well.”
Pawan Kalyan launched the JanaSena Party in 2014 but contested elections only in 2019, where he faced defeat in both constituencies he contested. However, in the recent general elections, JanaSena made a strong comeback by winning 21 seats, leading to Pawan becoming the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh — a remarkable turnaround in his political career.
