Pawan Kalyan had recently announced a new project with director Surender Reddy, to be produced by Ram Talluri, with a script penned by Vakkantham Vamsi. The project generated considerable excitement, as it was initially planned some time ago but shelved midway, only to be revived after the success of “OG.”
However, following the underwhelming performance of “Ustaad Bhagat Singh,” Pawan Kalyan appears to have reconsidered his commitments. In an official statement from Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, it was clarified that the actor-politician is not committing to any new projects at the moment. Sources suggest he may take an extended break before deciding on his next film, casting serious doubt over the Surender Reddy project.
The statement also emphasized that any decision regarding the launch of “OG 2” rests solely with Pawan Kalyan, and there is currently no clarity on when the film will go on floors. Since assuming office as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, only “OG” has managed to generate significant hype, while his other recent releases failed to make a strong impact. In this context, his decision to step back from new commitments is not entirely surprising.
