Amid growing uncertainty surrounding Pawan Kalyan’s future film commitments after Ustaad Bhagat Singh—largely due to his increasing political responsibilities—a pleasant surprise has arrived on the eve of the New Year. Four years after its official announcement, Pawan Kalyan’s long-pending project with director Surender Reddy has resurfaced, with producer Ram Talluri reaffirming earlier today that the film will finally go on floors very soon.
This heartening update comes at a time when fans have been eagerly hoping to see the star take on more acting assignments following the success of OG. The project was first announced in September 2021 as a big-budget entertainer that would mark Pawan Kalyan’s first collaboration with Surender Reddy. However, subsequent political developments in Andhra Pradesh over the past two years, coupled with Pawan Kalyan’s busy schedule as a Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, cast serious doubt over the film’s progress.
Adding to the uncertainty were significant delays in the completion of his recent films such as Hari Hara Veera Mallu, OG, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh, raising questions about his availability for new projects. Against this backdrop, Ram Talluri’s fresh confirmation has come as an unexpected and delightful New Year surprise for fans.
Notably, Ram Talluri is not only a close associate of Pawan Kalyan but also plays a key role in shaping the future of the Jana Sena Party as its General Secretary. Given that the next Andhra Pradesh elections are still some time away, the prospects of this project finally materialising now appear strong.
Reportedly, Surender Reddy’s long-time collaborator Vakkantham Vamshi will once again be involved, assisting with the story and screenplay. Details regarding the remaining cast and technical crew are expected to be announced in due course.
