The brutal killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, last month has sparked widespread outrage across the country. While the Centre has responded with a firm stance against the perpetrators, BJP leaders across various states have taken to candlelight rallies to express their condemnation of the terror attack.
Among the loudest voices of protest has been Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan. The actor-turned-politician strongly denounced the attack carried out by Pakistani intruders, which tragically claimed the life of his party activist, Madhusudan Rao. Taking a clear and aggressive position, Pawan Kalyan criticized those who attempted to justify the act through religious narratives — a veiled dig at the Congress, which had invoked secularism in its response. Calling such justification “unacceptable and anti-national,” he slammed attempts to politicize the tragedy.
This isn’t the first time Pawan Kalyan has taken a bold stand. Earlier this year, he had vocally condemned the adulteration of Srivari laddoos at Tirumala and the mismanagement that led to a stampede during Vaikunta Ekadasi ticket distribution. Continuing his assertive approach, Pawan lambasted individuals supporting the Pahalgam carnage and suggested that anyone sympathizing with Pakistan should consider relocating there.
In response to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s inflammatory “blood will flow” comment, Pawan Kalyan declared, “If need arises, we will spill our blood for the nation.” He further warned that India must remind Pakistan of its past defeats, stating, “If they try to overstep, every Indian will march to Pakistan.”
His remarks received significant traction on national media and went viral across social media platforms, particularly in BJP-ruled states where pro-BJP news outlets amplified his statements. According to sources, top BJP leadership in New Delhi not only had his remarks translated into Hindi but reportedly listened to them multiple times. While there’s no official confirmation, insiders claim that Pawan Kalyan received direct appreciation from senior BJP figures — a rare gesture toward a regional ally.
Pawan Kalyan’s impassioned stance has elevated his profile in national politics, with many observing that his condemnation was stronger and more direct than that of several senior BJP leaders. His unwavering approach has not only resonated with the public but also positioned him as a formidable voice on issues of national security.
