Fans of Pawan Kalyan have been eagerly awaiting a major update on OG, and the makers have finally delivered some exciting news. DVV Entertainment has officially announced that the much-anticipated gangster drama will hit theatres on September 25, 2025.
Interestingly, OG was not the only film eyeing this release window. Other titles like Akhanda 2 and Sambarala Yeti Gattu were initially aiming for the same date, but due to production delays, those films are unlikely to be ready on time. With the competition stepping aside, OG is now set for a solo theatrical run—a major advantage at the box office.
The release timing couldn’t be more strategic. With multiple holidays lined up from late September through early October, OG is poised for a massive opening weekend. Even with mixed reviews, the film is expected to pull in big numbers thanks to the festive season boost.
Despite being deeply involved in politics, Pawan Kalyan has been actively participating in film shoots. He recently completed work on Hari Hara Veera Mallu and is gearing up to start Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Meanwhile, director Sujeeth is working tirelessly to complete OG on schedule.
Once Hari Hara Veera Mallu completes its theatrical run, promotions for OG are expected to kick off in full swing. The film stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead and marks the Tollywood debut of Emraan Hashmi, who plays the antagonist.
Adding to the excitement, strong buzz suggests that OG might be developed as a two-part film, though no official confirmation has been made yet. With Thaman composing the music and a high-stakes gangster narrative at its core, expectations for OG are sky-high.
