Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the Tirumala laddu incident in Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has urged the NDA alliance parties to refrain from making aggressive comments targeting former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Pawan’s intervention comes in the wake of threats made by BJP leaders to prevent Jagan’s visit to Tirumala unless he issues a declaration.
Pawan emphasized that the issue of declarations for Tirumala darshan is an internal matter within the Hindu community and should not be used to target individuals or other religions. He stressed the importance of leaving the decision to give a declaration or follow temple traditions to the discretion of the individual visiting the shrine.
The Deputy Chief Minister also criticized the alliance parties for attempting to create conflict through their actions. He pointed out that the YCP government had faced similar attempts to ignite tensions in the past, with incidents like Tuni and Konaseema serving as examples. Pawan warned against using religion as a tool for political gain and urged for restraint and understanding. In addition to addressing the political aspect of the controversy, Pawan Kalyan also called for accountability from those responsible for the adulteration of Tirumala laddu. He highlighted the role of TTD board members who approved the supply of adulterated ghee and those who appointed them. Pawan emphasized that Hindus demand answers for the defilement of a sacred symbol.
Meanwhile, actor Prakash Raj has clarified that Pawan Kalyan misunderstood his comments regarding the Tirumala laddu controversy. Prakash Raj emphasized that his intention was to seek action against those responsible for the incident and not to create unnecessary fear or make the issue a national debate.
