Payal Rajput Opens Up on Industry Struggles & Nepotism!

The film industry often seems like a game of luck, where talent alone isn’t always enough to sustain a career. Payal Rajput, who rose to fame with RX 100, is now facing the industry’s harsh realities, openly speaking out against nepotism and favoritism. Despite her breakthrough success, subsequent films like Venky Mama and Disco Raja failed to keep her momentum going, leading to her being typecast as a “glamorous heroine.” Even her attempts to diversify with OTT projects like Anaganaga O Athidhi and ventures into Punjabi, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi cinema haven’t provided her with a firm foothold.

Her latest setback came with Mangalavaram, her second collaboration with Ajay Bhupathi, which also failed to leave a lasting impact. Frustrated with lost opportunities and industry politics, Payal has voiced concerns about last-minute casting changes and favoritism affecting careers. While she acknowledges that even star kids must prove themselves eventually, she believes outsiders face additional struggles just to get a fair shot.

Despite these challenges, Payal remains determined. She is currently working on the Telugu film Venkata Lachchimi and Tamil projects like Golmaal and Angel. She hopes that by taking on diverse roles, she can break free from stereotypes and let her performances do the talking.

With a career marked by both highs and lows, Payal’s journey is still unfolding. The bigger question remains—will the industry recognize raw talent, or will it continue to favor familiar names? Only time will tell.
