Marking the birthday of superstar Rajinikanth, the makers of his upcoming movie ‘Petta’ have unveiled the teaser.
This is a treat for Thalaiva fans as Rajini is seen thoroughly entertaining all through the teaser yet nothing about the film has been revealed. Rajini appears in two avatars. A stylish guy as one and the other is in typical Tamil style in white shirt and lungi. In the traditional look, Rajini sports long beard and this would delight his mass fans.
Being directed by Karthik Subbaraju, Anirudh’s background music is terrific. “Mass Marano” is a slogan that will be heard for the next few days.
‘Petta’ also has Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Bobby Simha and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is releasing for Pongal.

Hook Steps Make or Break Tollywood Songs
November 30, 2025
Why do some songs become chartbusters while others fail, even with a big star cast? Many point to music, rendition, and lyrics—they are indeed important. But above all, choreography and hook steps play the biggest role.
Take “Naatu Naatu” as an example. Its choreography by Prem Rakshit, especially the iconic hook step, went viral nationwide and even in Japan, with countless reels recreating it. Similarly, songs from Pushpa, like “Srivalli”, became widely remembered due to Allu Arjun’s quirky hook step—dragging his feet as if missing his slipper—which inspired thousands of reels.
Other examples include the “Chikiri” step and the “Meesala Pilla” kerchief step, both of which generated massive social media engagement. The key takeaway for song-makers and choreographers is to create reel-worthy moments that audiences can recreate.
This is why songs like “Raja Saab” or “Jajikaya” failed to connect with viewers. Weak lyrics and music further hampered choreography, resulting in underwhelming performance despite featuring strong star casts.
