In his four days Australia tour Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Australian PM unveiled the 2015 cricket world cup . Modi visited 161-year-old Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG ) during his trip to the city and posed for shutterbugs alongside his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott with the 2015 cricket World Cup trophy. Talking about the MCG, Modi said it would be a deserving venue for the Cricket World Cup finals 2015 and hope that India and Australia will play that match.
The two leaders also posed with the two world cup trophies that Australia has won, with former cricketers from both nations present, including Glenn McGrath, Steve Waugh, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and V V S Laxman. With this Modi has finished his tour in Australia.PM Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Australia in 28 years since Rajiv Gandhi in 1986.
