Police initiated action against Congress leader Revanth Reddy in connection with the alleged scam in Jubilee Hills Housing Cooperative Society. Based on a complaint lodged by an advocate, Jubilee Hills Police served notices on Revanth asking the Congress leader to appear in the station for questioning in the case in 15 days time.
In a reply, the Congress leader informed police that he will not come to police station till the elections are over.Advocate Rama Rao filed complaint that Revanth sold away seven open plots in Jubilee Hills Cooperative society violating all norms. The Congress leader was one of the members of cooperative society.
The complainant said that the case of selling plots by Revanth has been pending since 2002. On the pretext of high court stay in the case, police did not file charge-sheet against the Congress leader.Rama Rao alleged that Revanth is influencing the police not to pursue the prosecution any further. The accused have swindled away no less than Rs 100 crores, he said sought complete investigation into the matter.
