Talking about her journey as an outsider in the film industry, Pooja shared, “When you are not from the industry, it’s not just about whether the audience gives you a chance, but whether the industry does. Every film matters because I don’t have someone producing films for me or reassuring me that there will always be another project. I’ve had to work hard and hustle for every opportunity.” She further added, “It has been a step-by-step climb, and every film has been crucial for me. Success is never guaranteed, so I never take my work for granted. If a film doesn’t work, I have to push through and secure my next opportunity.”
Pooja also opened up about her desire to do more Hindi films, stating, “Who doesn’t want to make it big in Bollywood? Every actor dreams of it. You never know when a film will come along and change everything for you.” She further revealed her emotional connection to Bollywood, saying, “I grew up watching Hindi films, so my decisions regarding Bollywood projects are deeply personal. While I’m happy that some of my South films have reached Hindi audiences, I now want to take on more Bollywood films and maintain a balance.”
Discussing her long-term vision, Pooja emphasized, “You never know who is watching you and what they see in you. My goal is to leave behind a legacy of good work, regardless of language. Just as I was inspired by many films while growing up, I want to be part of movies that have a lasting impact.”
