Guntur: Actor and former YSRC leader Posani Krishna Murali was taken into custody by CID police on Tuesday for further investigation. Following a court order issued on Monday, he will undergo a medical examination at GGH before being interrogated.
Posani was booked in a case involving derogatory remarks against Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, along with the alleged display of morphed images of Pawan Kalyan during a press conference. He was initially remanded to judicial custody and lodged in a district jail before being transferred from Kurnool to Guntur on a PT warrant.
Following a petition filed by the CID seeking further questioning, the court granted one day’s custody on Tuesday for additional inquiry into the case.
