Director Maruthi had earlier promised that an update on Raja Saab would be shared by mid-May. However, as the month draws to a close, fans are still waiting — with no fresh updates from the team. Digging deeper reveals that the film might not hit the floors anytime soon, as Prabhas has now shifted his complete focus to his other project, Fauji.
According to inside reports, Prabhas is expected to begin shooting for Fauji this weekend. This schedule is said to span over a month, followed by yet another month of shooting. This means the actor will be tied up for the next two months exclusively with Fauji.
Sources also suggest that Prabhas will sport entirely different looks for both Fauji and Raja Saab, making it difficult to shoot them simultaneously. Even if parallel shooting was an option, extensive VFX work still pending on Raja Saab would further delay the film’s progress.
As a result, fans might have to wait longer to see Prabhas in Raja Saab. The team is being urged to release a clear update soon to avoid growing negative sentiment around the delay.
The film stars Niddhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan in the female lead roles and is being produced by People Media Factory.
