Young Rebel Star Prabhas is currently juggling multiple high-profile projects. He is actively filming Fauzi and preparing to launch the promotional campaign for The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi. Amidst these commitments, rumors had surfaced suggesting that Spirit might be shelved or delayed. However, producer Bhushan Kumar has officially quashed those speculations.
In a recent interview, Bhushan Kumar confirmed, “We will be starting Spirit in 2–3 months, and then move on to the next. The film is scheduled for a 2027 release.” Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Spirit will feature Prabhas in the role of a powerful and intense police officer, crafted specifically for him by the director.
Meanwhile, projects like Kalki 2 and Salaar 2 are yet to go on floors. Director Nag Ashwin has openly stated uncertainty regarding the start of Kalki 2, and Prashanth Neel has just begun work on Dragon with Jr. NTR, putting Salaar 2 on the back burner.
Contrary to speculation that Prabhas might take up Prashanth Varma’s film before Spirit, the original plan remains intact. After wrapping up Fauzi, Prabhas will immediately shift focus to Spirit, with no deviations in schedule.
