Producer Pranay Reddy Vanga, brother of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, recently revealed that the highly anticipated Prabhas-starrer Spirit was slated to begin filming in October, following the completion of Prabhas’ ongoing film The Raja Saab.
Despite the ongoing cine workers’ strike, Prabhas has been relentlessly working to wrap up The Raja Saab. However, fresh industry buzz now suggests that Spirit may not commence as scheduled in October.
Sources indicate that scheduling conflicts, particularly due to the unavailability of key cast members’ call sheets, are causing unexpected delays. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had originally planned to kick off the shoot with scenes featuring Prabhas and a prominent Bollywood star, but the latter’s dates are yet to be confirmed.
As a result, the official launch date of Spirit remains uncertain and is now dependent on the Bollywood actor’s availability. Given the current pace and challenges, there is growing speculation that Vanga may remain occupied with Spirit well into 2027, which could, in turn, delay the sequel to Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, initially expected to go on floors next year.
