Following Baahubali 2, the star chose to work with young directors such as Sujeeth and Radha Krishna Kumar, and he is currently involved in films with Maruthi and Hanu Raghavapudi—directors who are still exploring the pan-India filmmaking space yet have earned opportunities to work with one of India’s biggest actors.
According to the latest reports, Prabhas is now set to team up with yet another surprising name—Oscar-winning Naatu Naatu choreographer Prem Rakshit, who is preparing for his directorial debut. It is heard that Prem Rakshit has developed a compelling script that immediately impressed Prabhas. However, it remains unclear whether Prabhas will act in the film, produce it, or contribute in another capacity. The actor reportedly gave his approval without hesitation and locked the script.
Interestingly, Prem Rakshit’s association with Prabhas dates back to his choreographic debut in the 2005 blockbuster Chatrapathi. Since then, he has worked with numerous top stars across the South and gained nationwide fame after designing the globally celebrated Naatu Naatu hook step performed by NTR and Ram Charan.
While Prabhas has previously collaborated with choreographer-turned-director Raghava Lawrence for Rebel, choosing Prem Rakshit at this stage of his career has come as a surprising move for fans and the industry. With a solid lineup of projects ahead—including the highly anticipated Spirit—fans are curious about what role Prabhas will take in this new venture.
