Speaking during a press interaction, Prakash Raj termed Shivaji’s comments arrogant, outdated, and deeply harmful, stating that such views reflect a mindset that fails to grasp basic values of respect, dignity, and individual freedom.
He asserted that commenting on women’s personal choices is entirely inappropriate and stands in direct opposition to the principles of equality and personal liberty that modern society seeks to uphold. Emphasising the need to dismantle long-standing stereotypes, Prakash Raj pointed out that societal progress depends on respecting individual choices, adding that men have historically committed grave injustices against women through their actions.
Expressing his solidarity, he said supporting Anasuya in this controversy comes naturally to him, reinforcing his belief that men should always stand by women.
