The pen behind gigantic Baahubali belongs to renowned writer Vijayendra Prasad, but the modesty comes out when anyone credits the fame to him. Like an iceberg flaunts just a one tenth of itself above water, Vijayendra Prasad claims to be just a face of foundation laid by legendary writers of Telugu industry who brought respect to filmdom.
Not just Baahubali, but another biggest blockbuster of the year Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s story too was given by Vijayendra Prasad. The star writer reveals interesting facts when asked about how he felt after he garnered huge fame with a total of 1000 crore business his stories made. Prasad was first offered 40 lakhs for Bajrangi Bhaijaan story, but he refused to give it away for any penny less than 2.5 crores. The deal was cut at 2 crores finally.
As a writer, Prasad knows the potential of a story written by him before anyone films it, but admits that anything that brings money and success is a great story, unarguably. Few dialogues come to mind out of blue when writing a story and they become the perfect ammunition that long last on audience minds.
Vijayendra Prasad agrees to make any change suggested by director for the first time, but certainly not the second time, even if it is his son Rajamouli. We can take it a judgmental capability.
