Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s record is broken in the recently concluded elections for Maharashtra assembly. It is known that Modi created a record by winning the previous general elections by a margin of 5.7 lakh votes. Till now this remained record in Indian elections.
Now Pritam Munde, daughter of BJP’s Gopinath Munde won the Beed LS by-poll by a margin of 7 lakh votes, creating a new record. Beed constituency fell vacant after Gopinath Munde died in a tragic car accident in Delhi.
The result for the constituency was declared by election commission yesterday. It announced that Pritam Munde defeated her nearest rival, Ashokrao Shankarrao Patil of the Congress party, by securing 9,16,923 votes. Ashokrao Shankarrao Patil got only 2,24,678 votes.
