We often assume that film stars lead a carefree, financially secure life, but Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran recently surprised many by revealing that he too has EMIs to pay and is currently clearing his car loan every month.
Opening up about his career choices, Prithviraj reflected on his decision to step into direction, admitting that it might not have been the most financially rewarding move. He revealed that while he could have earned more as an actor, he dedicated significant time to directing, which resulted in him missing out on several acting opportunities. He acknowledged this as a realization that came a bit late.
When asked if he ever chose films purely for monetary gain, Prithviraj candidly admitted that he took up advertisement commercials for financial reasons. He explained that ads require minimal time and offer substantial pay, making them an attractive option. However, he emphasized that he only endorsed brands he personally believed in and never promoted anything he wasn’t convinced about.
The actor made it clear that, despite his success, he faces financial responsibilities just like everyone else. Currently, Prithviraj is actively promoting his upcoming directorial venture, L2E: Empuraan, featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters on March 28th.
