As usual Rahul Gandhi has skipped the latest Parliament session. But, not many felt his absence. He confined himself mostly to an occasional tweet. Interestingly, his sister Priyanka Vadra became very active during this same period. She is busy visiting temples these days.
Priyanka is planning to visit Peetambar Peeth in Madhya Pradesh. And why is she visiting this Peeth? This peeth is in the Gwalior-Chambal region and this is the region which will soon see byelections. The 22 Jyotiraditya Scindia supporters who had resigned along with him are from this area and will soon go to bypolls. Priyanka wants to campaign in these seats. It is because of this that she has chosen to visit the temple.
There is another reason. This region is closer to the Bundelkhand in UP of which Priyanka is the Congress party incharge. So, with Bundelkhand straddling between both MP and UP, she will achieve the twin objective of campaigning in MP and covering UP. She will also tour various constituencies in the region.
