Strong buzz doing rounds in political circles is that Daggubati Purandeswari would soon quit BJP and would join Jagan’s YSRCP. Talk is that Daggubati family is in touch with Jagan and is holding deliberations. As part of the talks, Purandeswari has been offered Visakhapatnam parliament seat. However, Purandeswari said to have expressed her interest in either Narasaraopet parliament seat or Guntur parliament seat to contest from YCP.
Learning about Purandeswari’s political plans, BJP state chief Kanna Lakshminarayana has stepped in and tried to pacify her. On the other hand, Purandeswari’s son Hitesh Chenchuram is keen on contesting on YCP ticket. He is expecting Parchur Assembly constituency. Daggubati Venkateswara Rao has also made ground to join YCP.
Meanwhile, TDP’s Nara Lokesh and Nara Brahmani also stepped in to action. Considering good rapport with Hitesh, Lokesh and Brahmani said to have offered Hitesh and Daggubati clan to join TDP. With this, both TDP and YCP camps have become quite active and is doing their best to rope in Daggubati family.
Looks like, BJP is at the receiving end. After Rajahmundry MP Akula Satyanarayana’s resignation, if Purandeswari too joins the bandwagon, it’d have a telling effect on party.
