Director Puri Jagannadh’s house was attacked on Saturday afternoon. According to media reports, distributors of Loafer film have attacked Puri’s house demanding him to compensate their losses. Distributors Muthyalu Ramadasu, Abhishek and Sudheer were reportedly involved in the attack. Puri’s house and office in Jubilee Hills were said to be damaged.
It’s heard that Loafer distributors had been mounting pressure on Puri for a while. In the past too when they did so, Puri said to have orally complained to police. Now that they resorted to physical violence and even threatened to stall the release of Puri’s next film Rogue, Puri Jagannadh has lodged police complaint.
Acting on Puri’s complaint, Jubilee Hills police have booked IPC 323, 506, 384 sections against the distributors.
