PVP Group bids for Deccan Chargers

Potluri Vara Prasad, the man behind the group is the the co-founder of the Engineering school, Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, in Vijayawada. He is a successful NRI through several Software related businesses. And entered film industry as a financier and later turned as a producer.

His Business conglomerate, PVP Group recently became a popular name with production of Eega and Kamal Hassan’s Viswa Roopam, had decided to try their luck in IPL. They placed a bid for the IPL Franchise Deccan Chargers which is up for sale after its owner Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited (DCHL) suffered financial losses. The auction of the IPL franchise Deccan Chargers will take place on September 13 in Chennai.
