R Narayana Murthy Face To Face over AP Special Status

Shamna Kasim, popularly known as Poorna in the Tamil film industry, has announced that she and her husband Shanid Asif Ali have welcomed a baby girl.

Sharing the happy news on Instagram, the actress revealed that the couple was blessed with their daughter early in the morning at around 4:25 AM, close to the time of Fajr prayers. She also shared that the traditional Adhan and Iqamah were recited in the newborn’s ears soon after birth. The couple has named their daughter Dua Jameela.

Expressing her happiness, Poorna prayed for her daughter’s long life, good health, and strong faith. She also hoped that the child would grow up to be a righteous and noble person and become a blessing to their entire family.

Dua Jameela is the second child of the couple. They already have a son named Hamdan Asif Ali. Last year, the actress had announced that she was expecting her second child and shared her excitement about expanding their family.

Shamna Kasim married businessman Shanid Asif Ali in Dubai in October 2022. At the time, she had shared emotional messages on social media expressing gratitude and love for her husband as they began their journey together.

The actress has worked extensively in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films. She is known for her performances in films like Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondramandu, Drohi, Jannal Oram, Savarakathi, and Dasara.
