The question now raises more bigger than why Kattappa has stabbed Baahubali from the back. Is Rajamouli a finest film maker or he is the most successfull. Will he fall under the category of a Satyajit Ray, Mani Ratnam and others, or he dives into K Raghavendra Rao and company? This debate is right now going on.
Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning has raced past 500 crores gross and stands only next to PK and Bajrangi Bhaijan in the worldwide gross. However, if we look at Baahubali movie on a whole, there are lot of loop holes, exaggerations and unbelievable stuff that only work in commercial Telugu cinema. In movies like 300, Troy and Gladiator there is stuff that’s aesthetic though we know that it’s function. But here in Baahubali there are cinematic liberties for the sake of heroism.
Even in all other films of Rajamouli, there is hefty exaggeration and unrealistic content that would entertain masses but won’t stand chance to give treat to original cinema lovers. For that reason, we have to say that Rajamouli is not the finest maker around, but is a successful craftsmen who could make happening commercial cinema, says social network users.
