Sensational filmmaker SS Rajamouli has found himself at the center of controversy after making atheistic remarks about Lord Hanuman during the Globetrotter launch event. His comments, in which he reportedly stated that he does not believe in Hanuman, have sparked a major backlash.
Following the incident, members of the Rashtriya Vanara Sena filed a complaint against the director at the Saroornagar Police Station. They alleged that Rajamouli’s remarks were derogatory and had deeply hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The organisation also expressed concern over what they describe as an increasing trend of disrespect towards Hindu deities within the film industry.
The Saroornagar Police have acknowledged the complaint but have not yet taken any action. Further updates on the matter are awaited.
