It is already known that legendary filmmaker SS Rajamouli is teaming up with Mahesh Babu for his much-awaited project, tentatively titled SSMB 29. Though the film is still in its early stages, it has already started making headlines across the globe.

In a remarkable development, the Kenya Ministry of External Affairs issued a special note appreciating Rajamouli and his upcoming venture. A recent statement from the ministry, after a key representative met Rajamouli, read:

“Kenya this past fortnight became the stage for one of the world’s greatest filmmakers, @ssrajamouli, the visionary Indian director, screenwriter, and storyteller whose works have captured the imagination of audiences across continents.”

Rajamouli, with a celebrated career of over two decades, is widely known for blending grand visuals, strong storytelling, and cultural depth. His team of 120 crew members finalized Kenya as the primary filming hub after an extensive scouting tour across East Africa. Reportedly, 95% of the African sequences are being shot there, covering iconic locations like Masai Mara, Naivasha, Samburu, and Amboseli.

The ministry further highlighted that this film is set to become the largest production in Asia, planned for release in 120+ countries with an expected reach of over one billion viewers worldwide.

For Kenya, this collaboration goes beyond cinema—it’s a proud moment that showcases the country’s landscapes, culture, and hospitality to the world. As Rajamouli and his team return to India for the next schedule, SSMB 29 is shaping up to be not just a film but a global cinematic milestone.
