These collaborations work because top stars rarely come together in a single film.
Now, Tamil cinema is gearing up for a similarly rare combination: the legendary Rajinikanth–Kamal Haasan duo. The craze for these two in Tamil Nadu is unmatched, with millions of devoted fans and a long-standing fan rivalry. So, the excitement for a film featuring both legends is understandably sky-high.
The project will be directed by Shibi Chakravarthy, with Kamal Haasan also taking on production duties. While the film is widely known to be in the works, there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, and most details remain under wraps.
Buzz suggests that an announcement video could drop this week, with fans already curious about Anirudh’s music and the energy it will bring. The biggest suspense, however, is the film’s central twist: one of the two legends will play the hero, while the other will take on the role of the villain.
