Even at 70-plus, Superstar Rajinikanth is moving at lightning speed with his projects. Having already wrapped up Coolie, he is now fully focused on completing Jailer 2. For the past few months, Rajinikanth has been busy on its sets. However, even while working on this, he has begun putting together his next venture.
It’s well known that he has been wanting to collaborate with Khakee director H. Vinoth for quite some time, though the plan hadn’t materialized earlier. But now, the superstar is strongly pushing to kick off his next movie with Vinoth. Reports suggest that Rajinikanth and Vinoth have already had a couple of rounds of story discussions. Interestingly, the story has also leaked — it’s said to be a serious political thriller packed with intense political intrigue and an engaging plot from start to finish. Rajinikanth seems to have given the green light to the story, though an official announcement is still awaited.
Meanwhile, Vijay — known as “Thalapathy” — is also working on a politically-themed film titled Jana Nayagan, which is scheduled to release next year. Given that Vijay plans to enter active politics after its release, Jana Nayagan is seen as a movie with political undertones that reflects his future aspirations.
If Rajinikanth also agrees to Vinoth’s political thriller, the project will take off immediately. Vinoth has yet to face a single directorial failure — all his five previous movies (Sathuranga Vettai, Khakee, Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimai, and Thunivu) were blockbusters. With Jana Nayagan, he is already eyeing a double hat-trick of successes, and a film with Rajinikanth could only add to that winning streak.
