In the long list of films that Rakul Preet Singh has done, she played the character of a housewife only once. It was in her last release, Karthi-starrer “Khakee”. The film provided her a success after a spate of flops. Audience might see her in a similar character in her next Telugu film too.
According to reliable sources, Rakul will essay the character of a housewife in her new Telugu film, Harish Shankar’s “Daagudu Moothalu”.This will be her next direct Telugu film after ‘SPYder’. Unlike her intense character in Khakee, she will play more a humorous character, named Dhatri, in Harish’s multistarrer. The film will go on floors in May.
Nithiin and Sharwanand play male leads. There is another female lead in the film, who is yet to be locked. Dil Raju will bankroll the film.
