Actor Rana Daggubati, who is currently under scrutiny in the online betting apps investigation, has formally requested the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to postpone his scheduled appearance. Citing prior film shoot commitments, Rana conveyed his inability to attend the hearing on July 23 through a letter addressed to ED Joint Director Rohit Anand. ED officials have acknowledged the request and are expected to provide him with a new date soon.

Rana is among several prominent film personalities being questioned in the probe, which centers around the promotion of online betting platforms. Other celebrities summoned include Prakash Raj on July 30, Vijay Deverakonda on August 6, and Manchu Lakshmi on August 13. These individuals are believed to have endorsed such platforms through brand collaborations or digital campaigns.

The ED has registered ECIRs (Enforcement Case Information Reports) and is digging deep into how celebrity endorsements may have played a role in promoting potentially illegal betting platforms. The investigation aims to uncover money trails, contractual obligations, and any breaches of financial laws.

With well-known names from the film industry now involved, the case has become a talking point across the country. As Rana awaits a new hearing date, all eyes are on how the probe unfolds in the coming weeks.
