Rana Daggubati seems to be appearing as the prime option for every filmmaker aspiring to make multilingual films. After signing a couple of interesting films post Baahubali, Rana is now likely to sign a promising director’s next film.
Debutante ARK Saravanan caught the attention of South film fraternity with his debut film, ‘Marakathamani’. Starring Aadi Pinisetty in lead role, the crime comedy became a sleeper hit in Tamil and a profitable venture in Telugu. The director was praised for his imaginative script, witty dialogues and engaging narration.
We have learnt that Saravanan impressed Rana with a striking subject, and the Baahubali actor has reportedly asked for some time to sign on the dotted line as he has to work out his dates. Senior producer AM Ratnam will bankroll this Telugu-Tamil bilingual, which is heard to be a crime thriller.
Rana is currently shooting for 1945, a pre-Independence war drama.
