Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has taken a major step toward a healthier lifestyle, opting for a plant-based diet. The actor, who recently worked with Sai Pallavi on Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayana, initially revealed during the shoot that he was exploring vegetarianism. Now, Ranbir has confirmed that the change is permanent.

The 42-year-old actor has not only embraced vegetarianism but has also become a teetotaller and quit smoking. In a candid video that recently went viral, Ranbir credited fatherhood for reshaping his perspective on life. “Right now, my focus is just on spending time with my daughter. I’ve changed a lot about my lifestyle—I’ve quit smoking and drinking. I’m really trying to clean up my life. Entering my 40s, I want to be healthy for my child and for myself,” he said.

Calling fatherhood a “game-changer,” Ranbir added, “It’s making me question detachment and indifference because I feel like I’ve just been born again. The 40 years I’ve lived feel like another life. I’m experiencing new emotions and thoughts… I never feared death before. I used to think I would die at 71 because of my fascination with the number 8. But now, 71 feels too soon—there’s another 30 years ahead. Everything has changed because of Raha.”

Ranbir’s transformation highlights how parenthood has inspired him to prioritize health, mindfulness, and overall well-being, signaling a new chapter in both his personal and professional life.
