India’s largest incubator for start-ups ‘T-Hub’ will be inaugurated by Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, on November 5. It was supposed to be inaugurated on September 7 but was postponed due to busy schedule of Ratan Tata.Telangana information technology minister K T Rama Rao said, “T-Hub will start functioning with 100 to 150 start-ups on the IIIT Hyderabad campus, Gachibowli adding that an American start-up has started functioning on the premises. The first phase of the project will have a built-up area of 70,000 sq ft”.
KTR said the second phase would have a built-up area of 3 lakh sq ft near Durgam Cheruvu and once the second phase is completed, the entire T-Hub operations would be shifted to the new facility.
The T-Hub is a unique concept of Telangana government to promote entrepreneurship. The T-Hub will provide one central location for start-up community and investors to network, learn, communicate, share and make deals.
