Actor Pawan Kalyan has stated that he is ready to take Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy if needed to fight in favour of kidney-affected patients in Uddhanam. Pawan, who attended a medical symposium in Vizag over Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients in Uddhanam, spoke at length about his ideas, commitment on the issue.
Making his stand clear that he doesn’t want to politicize issue and doesn’t want to gain any mileage out of it, Pawan Kalyan stated that all he wants is a possible ‘solution’ to the issue of CKD. Expounding the origin of issue, Pawan recalled an incident during his film Tammudu where he had wanted his film’s unit to give financial aid to Fluorosis patients of Nalgonda but it couldn’t happen when local politicians played spoilsport. Pawan stated that it had pained him a lot and that was his first encounter with politics and that’s when he decided to come forward to people.
Pawan Kalyan added that he had been accused of helping TDP government, but he clarified that he would do the same even if YSRCP is in power. Pawan said that he is not bothered about who gets credit, who gets advantage but he said he is only bothered about people. “If government doesn’t react, I’ll fight against it. I’ll take support of all in this fight. Even I’m ready to take Jagan’s support,” Pawan Kalyan said.
On parting note, Pawan displayed a placard he got from women on the way and the placard reads – “Please don’t put wine shops in residential areas”. Stating that this is not time to talk about, Pawan said that he would bring this topic separately again.*
