In 2024, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) witnessed a remarkable surge in the number of devotees visiting the temple, leading to an unprecedented rise in the Hundi income. The temple’s Hundi collection for the year has reached an astounding ₹1,365 crore, marking a significant jump compared to the previous year’s earnings.
As per TTD’s latest data, a total of 2.55 crore devotees made the pilgrimage to Tirumala for darshan of Lord Venkateswara. In addition, the number of devotees offering their hair, a traditional gesture of devotion, reached an all-time high of 99 lakh.
The temple’s outreach also extended through its renowned Annaprasadam service, which provided free meals to nearly 6.3 crore devotees, further emphasizing the scale of the temple’s charitable activities. The sale of laddus, another iconic offering associated with Tirumala, soared to 12.14 crore in 2024, reinforcing their cultural and spiritual significance.
