It has become a tradition to imitate hero Rajasekhar to tickle the funny bones. Ever since Pawan did it in Gabbar Singh during Antakshari episode, few films tried to do a spoof/mimic hero Rajasekhar and his slang.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s latest cop saga Pataas is no different as it strictly followed Pawan’s Gabbar Singh. Especially there is a scene of comedian Srinivas Reddy (who plays sub-inspector in the film) making fun of hero “Ankusam” Rajasekhar that instantly received claps from audiences across the theatre.
Although there is nothing “personal” against Rajasekhar, the filmmakers and actors said to be doing it for entertainment. During Gabbar Singh, Jeevitha openly stated that Pawan was “using” Rajasekhar’s “popularity” for “success”. Now, it has to be seen how actors Rajasekhar and Jeevitha react to the latest act. Will they take it in stride and enjoy or retaliate?
