Perhaps, for the first time in the state politics, all the opposition parties – the Left parties, BJP and the Congress, united and launched a massive fight against the TRS government on its anti-people policies.
Interestingly, TDP working President A Revanth Reddy’s assembly constituency Kodangal in Mahabubnagar has been chosen as the venue to kick-start the agitation. Revanth seems to have roped in his close aides BJP’s Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Congress’ Jaipal Reddy in his fight against KCR.
Along with Revanth, Jaipal Reddy, Nagam, CPI and CPM leaders and several workers participated in the dharna demanding to take up the long pending Kodangal-Narayanpur lift irirgation projects to address irrigation and drinking water needs in the most backward district in Telangana. All the parties also resolved to fight on every people’s issue and expose Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s failure in fulfilling the promises made during the elections.
