The buzz around Akira Nandan, son of Power Star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and actress Renu Desai, has been growing steadily over the past few years. With the young star-in-the-making making more frequent public appearances alongside his father, fans are eagerly awaiting his grand entry into Tollywood.
Recently, rumors have been doing the rounds online about Akira’s possible acting debut. While some speculate he will make a special cameo in Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film OG, others suggest he is being personally mentored by his cousin, actor Ram Charan, in preparation for his debut.
However, in a recent podcast, Akira’s mother Renu Desai addressed and dismissed both speculations. “Akira is not acting in OG, and he is not being groomed by Charan,” she clarified. “In fact, I had once shared a few videos hinting at that, and Akira specifically asked me not to forward such news to him.”
Renu Desai also opened up about her personal life, including thoughts on remarriage, her political stance, and her emotional return to Tollywood. She revealed that while she had considered marriage, she chose to step back to prioritize raising her children, Akira and Aadhya. She also turned down offers from political parties for the same reason.
Reflecting on her comeback with Tiger Nageswara Rao, Renu said, “It was a nostalgic and emotional experience. I knew I’d tear up the moment the director said ‘action.’ That’s why I took Akira along to the set—to have his moral support.”
Though she’s received multiple invitations to enter politics, Renu shared that her true satisfaction comes from her work through her NGO, helping people and animals alike.
As of now, while fans continue to dream of Akira Nandan’s big screen debut, Renu Desai’s candid revelations have put a pause on the speculation—at least for now.
