Recent media reports suggesting the possible relocation of the Begumpet divisional revenue office to the T-Hub building in Gachibowli triggered widespread debate and mixed reactions. The proposal drew criticism from startup founders and industry stakeholders, who argued that converting a premier startup incubator into a government office would undermine its original purpose.
Responding swiftly to the reports, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued a clear clarification, putting an end to the speculation. While on an official visit to the United States, the Chief Minister spoke with Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and directed officials to immediately halt any plans involving the use of T-Hub for government offices.
Revanth Reddy instructed that government departments currently operating from rented premises should instead be relocated to other available government-owned buildings. He strongly emphasized that T-Hub must remain a dedicated startup ecosystem and should not accommodate any administrative or revenue offices.
Reiterating the vision behind T-Hub, the Chief Minister stated that the facility was established solely to function as a startup incubator and innovation catalyst. Following his directive, authorities have decided not to proceed with the proposal to repurpose the T-Hub building. The facility will continue to operate as a startup incubation and innovation center in the foreseeable future.
