Revanth Reddy Hits Back at Harish Rao’s ‘Jaathi Pitha’ Remark on KCR

In a heated exchange of words, BRS leader Harish Rao stirred controversy while addressing the media yesterday, calling KCR a true statesman and referring to him as the “Jaathi Pitha” of Telangana. Taking a dig at the current government, he criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, stating, “While KCR fought for Telangana and became the Jaathi Pitha of the state, Revanth Reddy has become the ‘Boothu Pitha’ (father of foul language) with his excessive use of derogatory words.”

This remark did not sit well with Revanth Reddy, who hit back strongly during a public address today.

“The title of ‘Jaathi Pitha’ is reserved for great visionaries like Mahatma Gandhi, who was a man of integrity and discipline. Gandhi despised alcohol, but can we say the same about KCR? He can’t even get out of bed without liquor, let alone spend a day without it. How does that make him the Jaathi Pitha of Telangana?” Revanth questioned.

He further attacked KCR’s extravagant lifestyle, contrasting it with Gandhi’s simplicity. “Gandhi lived in a humble ashram with no luxuries. But KCR enjoys life in lavish farmhouses spread over hundreds of acres. Is this the legacy of a ‘Jaathi Pitha’?” he remarked, dismissing Harish Rao’s claims.

With these sharp words, political tensions in Telangana continue to escalate, adding another chapter to the ongoing war of words between BRS and the ruling Congress party.
