Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has long been eager for a direct verbal confrontation with BRS chief and former CM KCR since the 2023 assembly elections. However, this face-off has yet to materialize, as KCR has remained largely absent from the assembly sessions.
In the last 15 months, KCR has attended the Telangana Assembly only twice—once to take his oath as an MLA and the second time during the opening budget session last week.
Speaking on this issue in the assembly, Revanth Reddy took a jibe at KCR, pointing out his low attendance while drawing a hefty salary.
“KCR has attended the assembly for only two days in the past 15 months, yet he has received a salary of ₹57,84,124,” Revanth Reddy stated, questioning the integrity of the designated opposition leader, who, despite taking a salary, is failing to perform his legislative duties.
Revanth further challenged KCR to be more present in the assembly, assuring that he would be given due respect and that his political experience would be utilized whenever necessary. However, KCR’s repeated absence from crucial discussions suggests that he remains indifferent to assembly proceedings, reinforcing Revanth’s criticism.
