Revanth Reddy Targets Food Adulteration in Hyderabad

Under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, law enforcement and regulatory systems in Hyderabad have been significantly strengthened over the past few years.

While the police and vigilance departments have been actively cracking down on drug-related activities, and initiatives like HYDRAA have targeted illegal land encroachments, the government is now shifting its focus to a more pressing public concern—food adulteration and hygiene.

In recent months, several cases of food contamination and poor sanitation standards have surfaced across the city. Acting on this, special task forces have been conducting raids on eateries and commercial units supplying essential ingredients such as oils, मसాలాలు, and ginger-garlic pastes. These inspections have exposed serious lapses in food safety and hygiene practices.

Taking note of the situation, Revanth Reddy has announced plans to launch a dedicated enforcement drive, similar in scale and intensity to HYDRAA and Eagle operations. This new initiative will specifically target food adulteration, ensuring strict monitoring of restaurants, street food vendors, and supply chains.

The proposed task force is expected to carry out regular inspections, impose penalties, and take strict action against establishments that fail to meet safety standards. With food safety becoming a growing concern among the public, this move is seen as both timely and necessary.

If implemented effectively, the crackdown could lead to improved hygiene standards and restore public confidence in food establishments across Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana.
