Revanth Successfully Irritates KCR

Telugu Desam Party legislator from Kodangal A Revanth Reddy appears to have become a real thorn in the flesh of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He is perhaps the only opposition leader who has been taking on KCR outside and inside the Assembly. On Monday, Revanth successfully irritated KCR in the Assembly by questioning the inefficiency of the TRS government in resolving the power crisis and its propriety of targeting the AP government for the same.
He, along with Dayakar Rao, intervened when the Chief Minister was reeling out the facts related to power crisis caused by AP Government violating AP Bifurcation Act. The Telugu Desam members repeatedly obstructed the Chief Minister’s speech on power crisis for attributing it to the Andhra Pradesh Government. At one stage, a visibly agitated KCR lost his cool and threw some papers on to his table and came down heavily on Revanth Reddy for repeated obstructions.
KCR sought to know whether Chandrababu did not stop power from Hinduja company, cancelled PPAs and pressurising other sources to deny power to the Telangana Government. He termed it a ‘bad’ day that Revanth was trying to implement AP Agenda in Telangana Assembly. The egotism and ineffective argument of Revanth is tantamount to ‘treachery’ of the State, KCR said. “We are not beggars, but stakeholders in Srisailam power as per AP Bifurcation Act,” KCR said adding that they will sure draw the waters for power production despite hurdles being created by his AP counterpart Naidu.
