Robinhood Ticket Price Hike: Makers Clarify Misconceptions

The governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been supportive of the Telugu film industry, allowing filmmakers to secure ticket price hikes for new releases with relative ease. In this context, reports emerged that the makers of Robinhood had opted for a nominal ticket price hike—Rs 50 for single screens and Rs 75 for multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh.

However, this decision drew mixed reactions, with some expressing concerns that Robinhood isn’t a large-scale spectacle film to justify higher ticket prices. Responding to the feedback, the film’s team issued a clarification, stating that the hikes are not across all theatres but limited to select premium locations in Andhra Pradesh.

“There are unverified reports claiming that Robinhood will have hiked ticket prices everywhere, which is completely false. Our goal is to provide wholesome entertainment at affordable prices. The hikes apply only to a few premium locations in Andhra Pradesh, while the rest of the state and all of Telangana will have standard ticket prices. We encourage audiences to enjoy Robinhood in theatres without any concerns,” read the official statement.

With this clarification, it is now confirmed that Robinhood will have regular ticket prices in most theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ensuring an accessible cinematic experience for moviegoers.
