Hyderabad police have filed a charge sheet in connection with the stampede that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, marking a significant step forward in the investigation. The incident took place last year when an unexpectedly large crowd gathered at the venue following the arrival of actor Allu Arjun, leading to chaos and serious concerns over safety arrangements.

The charge sheet was filed by the Chikkadpalli police after an extensive probe into the events surrounding the premiere. As per official records, the Sandhya Theatre management has been named as the primary accused (A1), while actor Allu Arjun has been listed as A11. Authorities have clarified that the inclusion of names in the charge sheet is procedural and does not amount to a declaration of guilt.

Investigators concluded that the situation escalated due to inadequate crowd control and the absence of effective safety measures. A large number of fans reportedly assembled to see the actor, and organisers allegedly failed to regulate entry, movement, and overall crowd flow. The investigation involved recording statements from theatre staff, security personnel, organisers, and eyewitnesses present at the scene.

With the filing of the charge sheet, police have indicated that sufficient evidence has been collected to move the case into the judicial phase. The matter will now be examined by the court, where all individuals named will be given an opportunity to present their defence in accordance with legal procedure.

The development has triggered widespread discussion on social media, particularly regarding the mention of Allu Arjun in the case. Police officials have reiterated that the investigation is focused on establishing accountability for safety lapses and ensuring stronger preventive measures to avoid similar incidents in the future.
