Rajamouli, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR’s RRR is up for theatrical release on the 25th of this month and the stakes are high on the same. The grand pre-release event of the film was held in Bengaluru the other day.
Coming to the topic, the common opinion is now appealing only to the ‘R’ section of the audience, with the R standing for rich. The same can be derived if we take a look at the ticket pricing system in select pockets in Telangana.
A single ticket of RRR at a multiplex in Hyderabad will cost as much as Rs 419. A family of 4 or 5 will have to spend Rs 2000 if they are to watch the film in a proper multiplex. This is abnormally high pricing for any film till now.
Now, the common opinion is that RRR is catering only to the rich section of the audience as it is not economically feasible for a commoner and middle-class family.
People are now of the opinion that RRR’s makers are catering only to the richer section of the public. This is a big problem that the makers have to address.
Not just that, the ticket prices for benefit shows in Hyderabad are said to be Rs 5000 which is a sensational figure. A few select third parties are the ones orchestrating such high ticket prices.
